Step Stool

This step stool helps you gain some vertical advantage.

When the pandemic of COVID-19 started back in March/April 2020, I had some hours cut from my day job. This meant I had some free time and less in my wallet. I decided to dedicate some of that time to batch out some sellable projects. I made 12 of these. The first two were experiments to get my jigs built. The last 10 were all built at once with my homemade jigs.

I can't remember exactly how long it took per stool with the jigs, but I think it was something like 2 hours.

The ones I made were constructed completely of pine. I used glue and screws to hold them together. Each screw installed was covered with a dowel so you can't see any hardware.

The design of the stool keeps it very safe. You can stand on any corner of either step and it won't fall over because the base extends past all points on the steps. The design is also very strong and not prone to wobbling or collapsing.

My family uses 2 of these stools in bathrooms around the house for the little ones. Our 1.5 year old can carry them pretty easily due to the lightweight pine, and she's been known to relocate them by herself to reach higher objects. The stools also work for adults if you need just an extra foot of reach.
